2006-2007 Season Highlights

We had a long wait to get this group from PA up to hunt, but well worth the wait. Good friends and family had a great hunt that I sure will be remembered for a long time that they wished they could of shared with a special person.

What a beautiful bird!

The layout paid off again! First timers in the layout and all they could say was wow, over and over!

Well, if the puddle ducks and geese do not want to play our game, we will go after the diver ducks. A great day in the Bankes Two Man Layout for Mike and John!

Did anybody tell the birds to start their migration yet? We worked hard on the first day to get some ducks and we where able to get a few!

After some serious scouting, we had the X! What a great day watching 2000 plus Canada Geese work and fly over the spread. There was some great shooting, excellent dog work and some great scouting on my part.

The day started out slow and we finished up ok. We picked away at some Mallards and a few Black Ducks. All in all not a bad day of hunting!

It is all about spending time with your family and friends. Bob, his two sons and his favorite hunting buddies enjoyed some goose hunting.

This was Dan, Walter and Dave’s first field hunt for geese and we picked away at them. I worked them hard with a big spread of 300+ decoys and a great time was had by all.

To be honest, not all of our hunts are limits, but sometimes the days where something special happens in the field and it just doesn't matter if you shot six ducks or one duck. Dan, Walter and Dave do not get to see a lot of ducks where they hunt, but to see a few flocks of 30+ mallards and blacks working the decoys was a great experience for them.

Doyle Day 2

Charlie and Rick made the trip from New Hampshire for a great New York Duck and Goose hunt. They picked away at the Mallards on Saturday and then on Sunday got to see a display of 1000+ geese working the spread. With a full count of geese, one banded goose and Rick’s new puppy with his first goose retrieve what more could you ask for.

Well, they just keep coming! These groups of hunting buddies from CT came to NY and realize we where telling the truth. Ducks everywhere! They had a great 2 days of hunting and really enjoyed the new lodging and meals also.

Rob decided what a way to say thanks to his Dad and bought him for his birthday a day afield with Webfoot Guide Service. What a gift, a day with his son and 24 ducks in less than an hour.

Happy or what! Come to Webfoot Guide Service and you can be this happy also and covered in mud!

Mud and…

And lots more mud!

Day 3 was a blast in Lake Chuck with a mix bag of Teal, Blacks, Woody’s and Mallards.

The crew from the center of the universe, Long Island New York joined us for some preseason fun and relaxation before their waterfowl season started. Day one the shot ducks and geese in the filed. Day 2 was a little bit slower, but still a fun time had by all.

The boys from Albany came back again for some more great hunting. Ducks played and so did the geese. Thanks guys for a great time and look forward to hunting with you again next year.

Johnson 2

The winners of a Ducks Unlimited donated Webfoot Guide Service Donated 4 Man hunt finally where able to go and have a great hunt in the corn. 18 ducks in less than 2 hours! A nice steady pace and some good shooting.

I invited some customer of F. F. Tronixs and Plantronics for a Thank You hunt. The meeting did not take place in some corporate boardroom, but in a flooded cornfield. Roy had a broken foot and was still able to shoot a few ducks in the mud!

Family affair! Ducks Everywhere! Duke and family had a slow day the first day, but the birds wanted to play the second day. Duke showed us young guys how to shoot. I hope I am out hunting ducks still 81 years old.

Well, we just had to enjoy ourselves on a day off and what a way to spend time with good friends with 24 ducks in 25 minutes! Marty is getting older and wiser at 12. He had 3 double fetches and one triple. Marty’s motto is “Work Smart, not harder”!

The Storm Outfitter’s crew joined us again for some great duck hunting. Dave, Larry, Russell, Dave, Tim and John seem to enjoy a soaking, steady all morning rain to shoot some ducks in a flooded, and I mean flooded cornfield.

Wet, wet and more wet! The fields are soaked with water and little ponds in the field. The ducks seem to love this combination. The boys from MD enjoyed another great day of hunting in New York.

They are back again, Don, Dave and Lucas have made their annual migration to the sleeper State of New York and again it pays off. This group loves to play in the mud in years past and we lived up to their standards again.

Mike and his group purchase the hunt from the Cleveland Ducks Unlimited dinner and joined us for a great day of hunting. Ken got to shoot his first duck, a beautiful Black duck. Guess that one is going on the wall!

Well, we got another one hooked on waterfowl hunting. We took Chris (our camera man) and his Dad on a duck hunt that will be hard to top. 18 ducks in 18 minutes!

Opening weekend of the 2006-2007 season was fast and furious. The ducks where everywhere and with all the water we hunted a flooded corn field. There is nothing like running a canoe with a Go-Devil through the middle of standing corn! Looks like it might be another great year.

2007 Youth Day: The 2007 season started out with a bang. Four boys and the dogs where excited all the way to the marsh. What a day, two of the boys shot there first duck and they got to watch birds decoy so close we had to tell them to wait to shoot. To be a kid again!

We had the privilege to have our good friend Jeff Coats of Pitboss Waterfowl, join us for a few days of goose hunting. Great time had by all.

2005-2006 Season Highlights

The crew from Pennsylvania came back for a late season hunt and where surprised again with the amount of birds New York State has to offer. First day was a topped off with a yellow Neck Band and today we almost limited out on Canada Geese. We look forward to hunting again with you again next year!

The state of Pennsylvania was well represented the last few days. With a limit of Canada Geese by 10:30 am and hot pizza deliver to the field. What more could you ask for?

After a really slow morning, we had a great lunch and set up on our Black Duck Hole and Pat, Dom and TJ pick out some nice Black Ducks and one had some fine jewelry. Not a bad day after all!

Have you ever heard whistling wings and the duck giggle at the same time? We had 3000+ Mallards and Blacks work us today. Poor Marty, all them ducks to retrieve, not bad for being almost 11 years old! He will sleep well tonight! The boys from CT and FNAWS had there first field hunt for ducks and what a show they got!

Here is the good looking man behind the camera!

New York’s second season stated out with a bang! The weather gave us a slow start on the ducks, but geese appearing through the frog all cupped and locked on the X was a great way to start the second season.

On the last day of our first season we had a wild show today with 2000 plus ducks and 2000 plus geese trying to land on our X. We ended up with a limit of Mallards and six Blacks. It was a good thing we scouted for them with our guns the day before.

Scouting trip with your guns. We had a great afternoon hunt with two of our guides Mark, Charlie and myself. 12 Mallard and 2 Blacks in about 45 minutes. Hope we can do it again tomorrow.

Snow, ice, cold and winds make for a great day of duck hunting. Went to our favorite cold weather hole and shoot a limit of mallards, one banded Mallard and two Blacks.

What a great duck day. Temperatures were dropping, rain was falling and winds where picking up. We got a limit of Mallards and two Blacks today and the shooting and the dog work was great and so was the company.

Well, some days we get them and some days we do not. Two days ago it was 15 degrees and snowing, today it was 65 degrees, no wind and blue skies. We ended up with a Mallard, Black and a Bufflehead. They are smiling because our conversation was good and the snacks where even better.

We gave it a rest this weekend due to opening day of NY State Deer Season. The wait was worth it! We ended up with 12 Mallards and 1 Wood Duck in a flooded spot in a cornfield. The show before legal light was well worth it.

Blue Bird Day in upstate New York. Sometimes we forget about what it is all about. Look at that smile!

We went scouting yesterday and it was 71 degrees and found 2000+ ducks. This morning, the Webfoot crew that helps us out all season had a hunt of a lifetime. Limit of Mallards, Blacks, one Pintail and 2 Hybrid Black/Mallard cross. Thanks guys for all your help before, during and after the season.

The east side guys show up again and picked away at the mallards in one of our favorite swamps.

The contingence from Massachusetts showed up into town, they picked away at geese on Saturday and some greenheads in the field on Sunday.

The Storm Crew from Jersey also came into town this weekend and on Saturday we had a full count of Canada Geese. On Sunday we had a slow morning and still managed to pick away at 10 greenheads. Pretty smiley group!

The gang from New England area came into town just as the mallards where flying in also. We hunted a field and had a show of a lifetime with Mallards in your face. A full limit of Greenheads. Pete shot all the birds, so he claims!

Well, they finally made it down! We had 1000+ Mallards, Blacks and Pintail visit our favorite field today. What an awesome sight to see.

We look West, East, North and South and still can not find many ducks, but we scored a limit again of Canada Geese for the boys from Vermont.

We have been working hard to find ducks with very little success. 70 Degrees, no clouds and 40 mph South winds. However, we are getting a count of Canada Geese everyday. The boys from Albany had a great day today and where able to pick a limit out of 1000 + geese. Good shooting guys!

Can you say Indian summer? 65 degrees and blue skies did not stop the birds from paying us a visit. A well scouted field and a limit of Canada Geese and we where packed up and on the way to breakfast by 9:03 am.

What a great surprise, double banded Black duck and one of the bands were a $ 100.00 reward band.

Webfoot Guide Service enjoyed a special treat today with Gary Koehler, Senior Writer for Ducks Unlimited Magazine and Dave Afton, Regional Director for Western New York on a field goose hunt. We started out with a beautiful sunrise and wood ducks buzzing us and ended up with a limit of Canada Geese.

The men from MD came back again this year and we where able to produce another soaking, wet, muddy trip for them. We hunted the worst field we could field for mud and water and had a great day with a limit of Canada Geese.

Sun and no wind equals a slow day in New York, but we where able to get them wet and muddy again and they slowly pick away at the birds with 4 Mallards and one Wood Duck.

We welcomed the boys from Stormoutfitters.com and took them to one of our favorite flooded timber hole and had a good morning with 100s of wood ducks buzzing us. What a site!

Last year’s winners from SYC Ministries www.sychunts.com came and joined us for a field hunt in the rain. They ended up with 13 Mallards, 1 Black and 8 Canada Geese. Thanks for supporting SYC!

Brad from “Love of the Hunt Video Series” was able to get some great footage for an upcoming show and Jim from Hudalla Associates shot his second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh Canada Goose. All the singles wanted his side and he proved to be a “dinger”

After a slow morning, we gave it another try in the afternoon. Jim from Hudalla Associates, Jerry and Fred from Co-Operative Feed Dealer (Northeast Distributor of Muck Boots) shot their first Canada Goose.

The Boys from PA and NY came up for an early Goose hunt and we worked hard to find birds that would play “The Game”! The first morning the birds decided to sleep in late and stay on the roost longer than we wanted to stay in the 80 degree blue bird day. I guess our conversation was having a calming effect on Brad!

2004-2005 Season Highlights

Here is a small QuickTime movie clip (1MB) from our 2004-2005 season.
Please contact us to request a copy of our video and we would be glad
to send one to you. Please include your Name, Address and Phone number.

What a nice way to finish the 2004-2005 season with ten
Canada Geese and some good friends!

We always look forward to the " Father and Kid Hunts " and this one
turned out great. Jay shot a double goose and in the afternoon
shot his first duck. What more could you ask for than to
spend the day with your son duck and goose hunting!

Hunting a late season hunt with your family. The snow was coming down and so where the geese. Great gunning!

You can not always limit out. Had a slow day today but still saw
400 + mallards. We will try again tomorrow.

"Friends gone hunting!"

This is how you say thank you to your landowners! We took Dean (the landowner) on his first field duck hunt. A limit of Mallards and a Black/Mallard cross in 45 minutes.

Well tomorrow came and we had a great shoot. Saw a ton of birds and shot twelve Canada Geese!

The boys from Ohio came in and had a nice shoot over water for some Canada Geese. No limit today, but tomorrow looks good!

How about 15 degrees, breaking ice and snowing all morning and the birds did not fly until 11 am. The boys from Long Island, Mark and I where able to see through the snow and complete a limit of Blacks,Geese and a few Mallards before lunch time!

Our second season started out with a bag. 14 degrees and snow and we picked away at a limit of Canada Geese over water. Good group of guys from Massachusetts that know how to hit them when it counts!

Again, no words needed!

Well, early season is over with a bang! Can you believe that
200+ Mallards and Blacks come into the decoys and we only end
up with 5 ducks out of that group. What more can you ask for,
East winds at 20 mph, snow turning to rain and a limit of
Blacks and a bunch of Mallards. Great day!

End of the season with the boys! Had a quick hunt today with five
friends getting together with a limit of Mallards and four Blacks
in less than 45 Minutes. Finally, a picture with me in it.
I am the good looking guy on the right!

The season started off strong until the weather turned sunny and stayed
around 55 - 60 degrees for the last 2 weeks. Richie, Jim and Denise
worked hard to help have a great day. I think we might have shot a
few more if Richie was awake and if Jim's orange hat wasn't
flaring all the birds.

No words needed!

We hunted flooded timber for Jeff's first duck hunt and what a hunt to
remember. We limited on mallards and Dad and his brother Travis, got
to watch a once in a lifetime experience, 1000 plus mallards coming in
through the trees! What a great day!

This was one of those days where you just wonder what is going to happen.
It was 65 degrees and 25 - 30 mph winds out of the southwest. David and
Ray of Storm Outfitters (www.stormoutfitters.com) came up to visit the
sleeper state of New York. We where able to limit on Mallard, Blacks,
shot a bonus Drake Pintail and 2 Canada Geese. Well, sometimes it
better to just wait and see what happens!

In 18 minutes, Father and son, Ron and Mike and Charlie had limit of Woodies and Mallards and when the geese started to fly, they had a limit of geese in less than 15 minutes.

Good Friends, Good Shooting and a Great day of Waterfowling.

Don and Dave from Maryland had a great time in the field today. 4 Mallards,
5 geese and one with a neck collar and leg band! They have never seen so
may ducks come into the decoys before. ( We thought is was slow, but we
are spoiled here in NY). As they always say, the customer is always right.
We are looking forward to tomorrow's hunt with clouds, rain and 20 mph
winds out of the southwest!

Father and Son hunt! What could be better? Maybe a full limit, but still a
great day with your friends and family. The boys shot well and the Dads where
smiling all morning long. We had a slow day due to a east wind and a full
moon but we managed to take 8 mallards. Nice job guys!

Group of local guys that won the hunt at a Ducks Unlimited Dinner were more
than pleased! One of the guys said that 3 a.m. was too early to get up. Boy,
did he miss a great hunt! We had a thick and heavy fog, but we were able to
see the ducks and ended up with 24 Mallards and 2 Blacks for six of us by 9 a.m.

What a day! Four kids in a duck field and they where done in 15 minutes with
a limit of Mallards. Oh yeah, they all help kill the single Canada goose that
pitched into the decoys. The second group of 2 kids had over 1000+ Canada
geese try to land on them. Bang, Bang and the two boys had there limit of
Canada Geese. Great Shooting guys!
